Our 2-step cleansing routine was inspired by Japanese rituals. It prepares your skin for moisturising care, boosts natural skin renewal and is suitable even for the most sensitive skin. How it works: you remove your makeup using an oil-based product then cleanse with a gentle, water-based product that purifies your skin deep down. The two steps are complementary, making for an ideal routine:

The triple-texture Melting makeup remover gel gently dissolves all greasy matter that has built up on your skin (makeup, excess sebum, sunscreen etc.). It starts out as gel, turns to oil on your skin then when you add water, it becomes a lotion. It is non comedogenic, gentle on your eyes and effective even with waterproof makeup.
Next, you use our Cleansing oil, which boasts a very natural formula and a physiological pH. It cleanses your skin without attacking it, removing any remaining impurities and leaving a protective film to prevent your skin from drying out.

How to perform the 2-step cleansing routine

Step 1: The Melting makeup remover gel

Apply a dab of Melting makeup remover gel to your dry skin, then massage in it for a few minutes all over your face. Its melting texture gradually turns to oil to dissolve all your makeup. Once the makeup has been removed, add a little water, preferably warm, to achieve a lotion that’s easy to rinse off.

Step 2: Cleansing oil

Gently massage the Cleansing oil all over your dampened face until it starts to froth lightly, in order to remove all traces of impurities from your face. Rinse with warm water then dab gently with a clean, dry towel.

Why use a 2-step cleansing routine? How necessary is it?

It is not absolutely necessary, but strongly recommended to ensure the full removal of makeup, leaving your skin fresher and brighter.

Is the Cleaning duo kit suitable for all skin types?

If your skin is extremely sensitive, we recommend using the Melting makeup remover gel alone or with the Care mist, as described in our makeup removal routine. However, the 2-step cleansing routine is perfectly suitable for normal to dry and reactive skin because the formula of both our Cleansing oil and Melting makeup remover gel is very gentle. This kit is free of comedogenic active ingredients, making it suitable for mixed to greasy skin types.
